
London-based cellist, chamber musician and teacher
Drawing recognition as cellist of the Heath Quartet, prizes include the 2016 GRAMOPHONE Chamber Award, the Royal Philharmonic Society Young Artist Award, and the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Special Ensemble Scholarship.
Recent appearances include the Wiener Musikverein, Concertgebouw, Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie, Carnegie and Wigmore Halls.
Highlights include performing alongside Piers Lane and Brett Dean as part of the composer's Wigmore Hall Celebration, collaborations with Sally Beamish at Aldeburgh Festival and performances as guest principal cello of Manchester Camerata. Upcoming concerto engagements include Haydn's C Major concerto with Orchestra North East. Christopher also works regularly with London's leading session orchestras.
